On March 8, 2013, the court approved the First Interim Claims Report and Recommendation on Claims. On March 20, 2013, the Department mailed 1,093 Notices of Determination letters to all known claimants. All classes of claims were evaluated. The Class of each claimant and the recommended amount are recorded on the notice. The Objection Filing Deadline was May 6, 2013.

On December 5, 2013, the court approved the Second Interim Claims Report and Recommendation on Claims. On January 16, 2014, the Department mailed 2 Notices of Determination letters to those claimants. The Class of each claimant and the recommended amount are recorded on the notice. The Objection Filing Deadline was February 28, 2014.

On May 9, 2014, the court approved the Third Interim Claims Report and Recommendation on Claims. On May 21, 2014 the Department mailed a Notice of Determination letter to all known claimants. The Class of each claimant and the recommended amount are recorded on the notice. The Objection Filing Deadline was July 7, 2014.

On April 15, 2016, the court approved the Fourth Interim Claims Report and Recommendation on Claims. On April 19, 2016 the Department mailed 1 Notice of Determination letter to all known claimants. The Class of each claimant and the recommended amount are recorded on the notice. The Objection Filing Deadline is June 3, 2016.

​On May 4th, 2018, distribution checks were mailed. Claimants in class 1 and class 2 received 100% of their evaluated claim. Class 6 received a pro-rata share of 6.59% of their evaluated claim. Funds were insufficient for distribution to any additional classes. This is anticipated to be the only distribution. This distribution is made in accordance with the Court Order of April 4, 2018.

Claimants are encouraged to cash these checks as soon as possible.

​By Court Order entered October 9, 2018, First Commercial Transportation and Property Insurance Company was discharged from receivership on October 31, 2018. (This means the Division of Rehabilitation & Liquidation are no longer responsible for the company.)

The Receiver’s Accounting staff is preparing to send all un-negotiated funds to Unclaimed Property. As soon as the transfer is prepared, we will provide you the transfer date. However, this can take several months. All the company bank accounts are closed. There will be no further check reissues. Therefore, please do not open service requests to request the reissue of a check. If checks are outstanding, the consumer must wait until unclaimed property has received the funds and a claim must be made with them.
