Floridians,

This week, I had the privilege of welcoming Florida’s Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Task Force 4 to the Florida Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Tallahassee. These first responders made a quick stop to pick up personal protective equipment on their way to Louisiana to support recovery efforts following Hurricane Laura.

These highly trained firefighters brought lifesaving equipment and resources to support our friends on the Gulf Coast. It was an honor to thank them and pray for their safety as they put themselves in harm’s way to protect these communities. Please keep our first responders in your thoughts and prayers for a safe return home.

As we witness the devastation from Hurricane Laura, I continue to remind all Floridians that we are in the peak of the 2020 Hurricane Season and NOW is the time to ensure you and your family are prepared and protected. Visite PrepareFL.com for important storm tips and resources.

Lastly, this week I sent letters to top businesses in New York, Chicago, and California to highlight why Florida is the best place for businesses of all sizes to relocate and thrive. As a member of the Enterprise Florida, Inc. Board, the state’s main entity charged with business recruitment, I’m passionate about highlighting the advantages Florida has to offer businesses including no personal income tax, low corporate taxes, business-friendly regulations, top-ranked colleges and universities, world-wide transportation options and so much more.

Like you, I love the great state of Florida and firmly believe there is no better place to live, work, raise a family, and run a business than right here in the Sunshine State!

Atentamente,

Jimmy
