This week, I had the opportunity to join Cavuto: Coast to Coast to talk about how corporations, as well as Major League Baseball (MLB), should stay out of politics. The last time I checked voting is left up to the states. In Florida, our voting was successful and accessible, and we had results turned around in time. If I take my family to a ball game, I don’t want to get a lesson on separation of power from corporate America.

On Tuesday, I was honored to receive my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination from firefighters with the Tallahassee Fire Department. For over a year, these heroes have continued saving lives in our communities no matter the challenges brought on by this pandemic. They answer the call no matter the circumstances and I cannot thank our firefighters enough for their hard work during this unprecedented time and for everything they do to keep our us safe. The COVID vaccine is a light at the end of a very dark tunnel, and I encourage all Floridians, especially our first responders, to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Lastly, in recognition of April as Mes del Conocimiento Financiero, I provided important financial literacy tips and resources to ensure Floridians are financially set for their future. Every Floridian deserves to have financial freedom and my goal is to provide the best financial resources to help all Floridians make wise financial decisions. This past year has been far from average and many have experienced financial hardships. As we are still working to recover from the financial impacts of COVID-19, I encourage all Floridians to review important financial tips today to ensure your financial future is bright.
