On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to join Fox Business and talk with Neil Cavuto about how Governor DeSantis has done the right thing by putting parents in the driver's seat when it comes to masks. No one cares more about their children's wellbeing than parents. Watch my interview below.

On Thursday, I assessed damage following an apartment fire in Tallahassee near the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) campus. Thank you to the dedicated firefighters with the Tallahassee Fire Department for their quick response. Their swift action, as well as the response from the Tallahassee Police Department, no doubt saved lives.

Finally, ahead of World Senior Day on August 21, I issued tips to protect seniors from fraud and scams. Florida currently ranks third in fraud reports nationwide and fraudsters will stop at nothing to prey on our most vulnerable population, Florida’s seniors. Our seniors work their entire lives to build up their savings, only to have it tragically ripped away by bad actors looking to make a quick buck. It is critical for Floridians, and especially our seniors, to always be on alert and know the warning signs of fraud. On World Senior Day, I’m encouraging seniors and caregivers to learn more about common scam tactics, so you can spot a scam before falling victim. If you feel you or a loved one has been scammed, report it immediately at FraudFreeFlorida.com.
