On Thursday, I had the opportunity to join Fox Business and talk with David Asman about how the Biden Administration is essentially ensnaring everybody in this massive expansion of IRS full-time auditing. This proposal is the biggest shakedown of the middle class that’s ever been publicly aired as a serious policy idea. Florida will not comply. If Joe Biden signs this proposal into law – we’re going to court!

On Monday, I sent a letter to the Comisión Federal de Comercio requesting the commission use its authority to investigate GoFundMe and determine if the company’s interstate activities violate the unfair and deceptive practices provision of the Federal Trade Commission Act. While we saw the best in humanity following the tragedy at Surfside, we also saw bad actors look to use the condo collapse to line their own pockets. After I raised claims about GoFundMe fraud, the company has kept their heads down and offered no solutions or transparency fix the problem. We must do all we can to make sure those who donate know that every dollar they give goes to where it is supposed to.

Lastly, this week, I sent a letter to In-N-Out Burger President Lynsi Snyder following the news of their shutdown for not acting as “vaccine police.” My family’s restaurant has been in business for more than 50 years and I know how hard it is it turn a profit and make payroll on a good day, let alone when your own government is working to crush your business with absurd mandates. In the letter, I highlighted how much Florida cares about our our business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees and that I have no doubt that her team can win here in the Sunshine State where we remain free and open for business.

Have a great weekend!
