Floridians,

On Thursday, I had the honor of joining elected officials, members of the fire service community and their families at the Florida State Fire College in Ocala for a memorial event to pay tribute to Florida’s fallen firefighters.

Every day and every night, Florida’s firefighters stand ready to answer the call, leaving their families behind and risking their lives to keep Floridians safe. With the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 and the tragic Surfside condo collapse, this year has been especially hard on the firefighting community. Please pray for the families of these heroes who served alongside these first responders and supported them as they worked to protect us. God bless these heroes and their families.

Lastly, Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings recently reaffirmed Florida’s 'AAA' rating. The announcement comes on the heels of S&P Global issuing Florida a 'AAA' rating with a stable outlook. Having the state’s Triple-A bond rating reaffirmed by all three national credit rating agencies directly reflects the tremendous hard work and smart fiscal management. By continuing to make smart financial decisions and being good stewards of what we have been given, our economy will prosper, businesses will thrive and Florida will continue to be the best place to live, work, raise a family and run a business.
