Professional Associations Related to Receiverships

Listed below are national organizations that provide assistance to receivers, insurance regulators, and guaranty associations throughout the United States of America.

• Asociación Nacional de Comisionados de Seguros
  The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is the organization of insurance regulators from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and the four U.S. territories. The NAIC provides a forum for the development of uniform policy when uniformity is appropriate.


• Organización Nacional de Asociaciones de Garantía de Seguros de Vida y Salud
  The National Organization of Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Associations (NOLHGA) is a voluntary association of the 52 state life and health guaranty associations, including Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Guaranty associations, by law, provide a safety net for policyholders in the event of a life and health insurance company insolvency.


• Congreso Nacional de Fondos de Garantía de Seguros
  The National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds (NCIGF) is a nonprofit association incorporated in December 1989 and is designed to provide national assistance and support to the property and casualty guaranty funds located in each of the 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.


• Asociación Internacional de Administradores Judiciales de Seguros
  The Association was founded in 1991 to provide individuals who were involved with insurance receiverships an organization through which they could receive education, exchange information, and enhance the standards followed by those who work in this professional area.
